Framing your medals is a great way to show them off to people all year round whilst preserving them. We recommend UV glass is used to prevent any damage from the sun, many of the medals we have framed are still very vivid in colour and this tends to be because people store them away in draws and the UV glass will preserve this.
You will need the frame to be deep enough to hold the medal behind the glass, this can be achieved by using a box frame, which sits the glass away from the piece. Alternatively you may wish to have various mounts to build the depth of the frame or to use slips, which sit inside the mount like a small frame.
Photographs or certificates can be incorporated with the medal to create a really personal and individual frame.
